CPU L2 cache increase...worth the investment ?

Hi guys,running a P4 540J with 2 GB of PC3200 and an ATI 256 MB X850XT.Looking at possibly upgrading my CPU to a P4 640. The only real difference is an increase of L2 cache from 1 MB to 2 MB. Would I see any benefits from this upgrade ?Thanks

From what I understand, the L2 cache is beneficial for "games."RH

Synthetic benchmarks maybe, but in FS anything I recon you be lucky to see 1-2% performance increase from such an upgrade. Not worth it IMO.Gary
