More than 2GB of RAM an advantage?

As part of an upgrade I'm considering changing from 1GB to 2GB of RAM.Or would 3GB or even 4GB give better results? In case it's relevant perhaps I should mention that I'll be changing to "Vista" at the same time.Cliff

Considering that Vista reportedly likes to wallow in 1GB RAM all by its lonesome and that FSX is happier in a 2GB sandpit than with 1GB, then 3GB would get you there nicely and 4GB would buy you a little future proofing for when FSX addons come to town in strength.Gary

From everything I've read, 2GB max for XP, and load memory in 1GB pairs for Vista would be your best bet, so 4GB is your next step if you are using Vista. Well, I suppose you could go for 2 1GB and 2 512 MB, but might as well go for 4 GB if you are going for 3 GB. But first make sure your motherboard supports this.Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-)N15802 KASH '73 Piper Cherokee Challenger 180
