Track IR...bit the biscuit ??

Featured Replies

I've been running TrackIR 3 without any issues for over two years until today. Now I can't start the unit at all.TrackIR software from the Main page says : NO DEVICE DETECTEDWhen I switch USB ports I get this from Windows : ONE OF THE USB DEVICES ATTACHED TO THIS COMPUTER HAS MALFUNCTIONED, AND WINDOWS DOES NOT RECOGNIZE IT.I tried all the usual stuff...unistall/ reinstall...different drivers from Natural Point....reboots...tried all my USB ports and now I'm here :-) Also, I tried installing and running it on my laptop and I get the same messages.Could the unit simply have ' broken ' somehow ?posted to Track Ir support as well....cheersGreghttp://www.fs2crew.com/linepilot.jpg

Greg,I have had the same thing with TrackIR4 at times. I overcame it by downloading the latest software and simply unplugging the unit then, reconnecting. All okay then.Try it?

Thanks DaveYes, typically these little glitches have been easily remedied. I'm stumpted this time.Vincent from NP had me download and try a regfix utility that scans and repairs attached USD devices but that came up empty.Have downloaded the latest drivers and done seveval fresh installs deleting the naturalpoint folder each time.I've sent off my latest install log to NP awaiting another possible solution now.cheersGreghttp://www.fs2crew.com/linepilot.jpg
