CH Yoke Double Your Buttons Question:

Featured Replies

For CH products, in conjunction with the CH control mgr. Mr. Robert Church developed the cmfsv100 Control Assignment Utility back in 2002. I have been exceedingly pleased to use this contribution on my CH Yoke and Footpedals for some years. It allows for as many varied maps as desired (which I seldome used). It also allowed a shift function for one button which doubled the functions of all other buttons (which has spoiled me rotten increasing capability from twelve functions to twenty-three unique functions). Unfortunately, this does not work as of yet with FSX as there is no devices.cfg file. I have tried to just originate one and use it in the same way as FS9, but have been unsuccessful as of yet. Has anyone else found a way to increase button functions in like manner for FSX on a CH Yoke? Thanks:RTH

With WinXP you have two choices. Use the CH CMCC utility/software v4.2 downloadable from the CH forums software section and create a "map" for the devices and buttons. This allows you to assign button 0 on the yoke as a "Shift" button to double all the other buttons. This is what I used to do but now use this second option. With a registerd copy of FSUIPC, manually edit the FSUIPC.ini file and use a "compound" button scheme to assign a button as a "shift" button. See my partial ini example below. If you don't know how to read or edit the FSUIPC ini file, read the Advance FSUIPC User documentation, buttons section. These two options work for both FS9 and FSX under WinXP.Now for Vista the story is a little different. First, the CH CMCC software is not compatible with Vista yet. Don't even attempt to install it. This leaves just FSUIPC as the only option while under Vista but it's what I've been using anyway. The nice thing is, the FSUIPC.ini text (device settings) are transferable (copy & paste) between FS9 and FSX for both "General" and "Aircraft Specific" assignments. Aircraft specific assignments (another feature of registering FSUIPC) allows you to map custom control settings for a range of aircraft. My partial FSUIPC.ini from FSXsp1My Yoke is device #2 and my shift button is #0. All the buttons with (-2,0) are un-shifted and (+2,0) are shifted. My Throttle-Quad is device #1.[buttons];Yoke Button 0 = Shift-Button1=CP(-2,0)2,1,C65580,0 ;AP_MASTER2=CR(-2,0)2,2,C66278,0 ;RUDDER_TRIM_LEFT3=CR(-2,0)2,3,C66279,0 ;RUDDER_TRIM_RIGHT4=CP(-2,0)2,4,C65751,0 ;LANDING_LIGHTS_TOGGLE5=CP(-2,0)2,5,C65560,0 ;STROBES_TOGGLE6=CP(-2,0)2,6,C65750,0 ;PANEL_LIGHTS_TOGGLE7=CP(-2,0)2,7,C66579,0 ;TOGGLE_CABIN_LIGHTS8=CP(-2,0)2,8,C66734,0 ;MOUSE_LOOK_TOGGLE9=CP(-2,0)2,9,C66530,0 ;EYEPOINT_RESET10=CR(-2,0)2,10,C65607,0 ;ELEV_TRIM_DN11=CR(-2,0)2,11,C65615,0 ;ELEV_TRIM_UP;Yoke Buttton 0 = Shift-Button12=CP(+2,0)2,1,C65860,0 ;AUTO_THROTTLE_ARM13=CP(+2,0)2,2,K50,9 ;2D PANEL #214=CP(+2,0)2,3,K51,9 ;2D PANEL #315=CP(+2,0)2,4,C66240,0 ;TOGGLE_TAXI_LIGHTS16=CP(+2,0)2,5,C66376,0 ;TOGGLE_LOGO_LIGHTS17=CP(+2,0)2,6,C66239,0 ;TOGGLE_BEACON_LIGHTS18=CP(+2,0)2,7,C66377,0 ;TOGGLE_RECOGNITION_LIGHTS19=CP(+2,0)2,8,C65567,0 ;VIEW_MODE20=CP(+2,0)2,9,C65749,0 ;VIEW_MODE_REV21=CP(+2,0)2,10,C66153,0 ;NEXT_SUB_VIEW22=CP(+2,0)2,11,C66154,0 ;PREV_SUB_VIEW23=CR(-2,0)1,0,C66379,0 ;TOGGLE_NAV_LIGHTS24=CR(-2,0)1,1,C66378,0 ;TOGGLE_WING_LIGHTS25=CR(-2,0)1,2,C66965,0 ;TOGGLE_JETWAY26=CR(-2,0)1,3,C66657,0 ;REQUEST_FUEL_KEY27=CR(-2,0)1,4,C66733,0 ;CAPTURE_SCREENSHOT28=CR(-2,0)1,5,C66722,0 ;VIDEO_RECORD_TOGGLE29=CR(-2,0)1,6,C66199,0 ;TOGGLE_AIRCRAFT_LABELS30=CR(-2,0)1,7,C66724,0 ;TOGGLE_AIRPORT_NAME_DISPLAY31=CP(-2,0)1,8,C65584,0 ;BAROMETRIC32=CP(-2,0)1,9,C66846,0 ;BAROMETRIC_STD_PRESSURE33=CP(-2,0)1,10,C65789,0 ;SIM_RATE_INC34=CP(-2,0)1,11,C65790,0 ;SIM_RATE_DECR35=CP(+2,0)1,0,C65752,0 ;PARKING_BRAKES36=CR(+2,0)1,1,C65556,0 ;XPNDR37=CR(+2,0)1,2,C66596,0 ;CROSS_FEED_TOGGLE38=CR(+2,0)1,3,C66651,0 ;FUEL_DUMP_TOGGLE39=CR(+2,0)1,4,C66719,0 ;CABIN_SEATBELTS_ALERT_SWITCH_TOGGLE40=CR(+2,0)1,5,C66718,0 ;CABIN_NO_SMOKING_ALERT_SWITCH_TOGGLE41=CR(+2,0)1,6,C65561,0 ;PAUSE_TOGGLE42=CP(+2,0)1,7,C65552,0 ;SOUND_TOGGLE43=CP(+2,0)1,8,C66287,0 ;TOGGLE_PROPELLER_SYNC44=CP(+2,0)1,9,C66297,0 ;TOGGLE_AUTOFEATHER_ARM45=CP(+2,0)1,10,C66391,0 ;TOGGLE_TAIL_HOOK_HANDLE46=CP(+2,0)1,11,C66390,0 ;TOGGLE_WING_FOLD
