June 1, 200719 yr I think this is the right place to post this. Could somebody please recommend a good joystick for me to get. Nothing "too" fancy or expensive.gracias
June 1, 200719 yr I'm using the Saiatek X52, (Joystick and Throttle) and I absolutely love it. It is a tad expensive at $119 at BestBuy. You can probably pick up an older X45 Saitek (Joystick and Throttle)on Ebay for a good price. It is essentially the predecessor to the X52 and I used it for a very long time with no problems whatsover. For me both of these Joysticks/throttle setups are very nice for the money. And I think the response and feel are great. The joystick is very versatile with plenty of buttons, hat switches and slides to assign FS events to your hearts content. :)Good luck with your joystick hunt.Adios,Randy
June 1, 200719 yr I still have my old X36 Stick (The first X45 and X52 predecessor) and Randy is absolutely right, It's a great stick with a separate throttle and lots of buttons.I also just bought a Saitek AV8R-01 (Aviator) stick for quick flights and flying the helicopters. Its also a great stick with a twist grip rudder control, lots of programmable toggle switches and 2 throttle levers built right into the base, which can be used intependently or locked together. This stick is a lot cheaper than the X52 (about $40) if you don't want to spend too much on one, but still get a great, good looking programmable joystick.Pete S.
