FS2004, Vista & Nvidia

Featured Replies

These problems appear to be video related on my shiny new Vista box....(1) Although FS2004 will run in windowed mode if I try to switch views (from 2d to 3d cockpit for example) the window contents freeze. The simulator goes on running and can be re-entered by switching to full screen mode, assuming that you haven't fallen out of the sky in the mean time. :-)(2) Fs2004 runs fine in full screen mode and I can switch between views successfully but the Active Camera utility keys do not work and the mouse wheel based zoom facility does not operate either. The mouse pointer appears as a black arrow in full screen mode (white arrow in windowed mode) although other mouse functions appear to work and when the pinter changes (tool tip or hand symbol) it reverts to a white indicator with a black outline. All keyboard and joystick functions seem fine in full screen mode. Any suggestions welcomed. Here's my configuration.....Processor : Intel Core Duo Quad 2.4GHzMemory : 2GVideo: Nvidia Geforce 8800 GTS with 163.11 driversFS 2004 V9.1Windows VISTA Home Premium with 06/08 fixes

Thanks Scoob, I had trawled the various threads here but without success although the Nhancer utility looks like a useful tool.On a more positive note I've solved the Active Camera problem. (Should have read the FAQ's at the AC web site!) I'd mucked up my Fs9.1 installation when I reinstalled FS9 and AC needs to see the specific version to work properly. Thanks again.
