New System Question-Processor

Featured Replies

Currently I'm running and AMD64 3700 system. I am in the process of building a new Intel system. So far I have the following: Lian Li PC 65B CaseCorsair HX Series CMPSU-620HX 620W Power SupplyPlextor PX-810SA/SW-BL DVD/CDEVGA 7950 GT-KO (from current machine) At this time no room in thebudget for a new graphics card and I would rather wait till DX10 is a viable consideration.I plan on ordering the motherboard,RAM and processor in the next weekor two.Giagabyte GA-P35-DS3R LGA Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500)I will either be purchasing the E6850 or the E6750 which currently is about $ 100 less. The Gigabyte board will support the 45nm processors when available.I guess my question is: Will I benefit that much more with FSX bygetting the E6850 vs. the E6750. I would rather not OC if it is not necessary. Thanks,Craig

wow, there are a lot of guys with the 3700 wanting to upgrade haha :)I'd go with the 6850, that's what I am going with when I get the OK ;) I'm planning on OCing mine too...
