IE7 explorer problems!

I've noticed that IE7 in Vista upgrade stops working for me after a while. I must resort to Mozilla to browse. My wife uses the same computer, and she has no problems. Her USER screen comes up and she browses effortlessly and with no IE7 interruptions at all. I don't know what the issue is other than I must have a plug in or something that when triggered, stops me from using IE Explorer. When I pull up my bookmarks, favorites, the list just disappears and no browsing can occur. Sometimes I can go for hours...and sometimes just for minutes. It must have something to do with one of my favorite sites or something. How can I troubleshoot this?I look to the gurus on this forum because I've been helped so many times in the past with hardware/software concerns...much moreso than specific forums for Windows.Of course, you can't uninstall IE7 in Vista and reinstallation cannot occur. I'm at a loss as to what to do. I've tried to reinstall Vista, but I can't seem to get through the whole re-installation. Something is wrong, and I don't want to do a complete CLEAN reinstallation of Vista because I will lose everything.If you have any ideas, I would appreciate it. If not, I will keep searching for an answer. I still feel that some addon or plugin is causing this. What do you think?

For starters:Go to Toolsthen Managed Add-onsthen Enable or Disable Add-onsand then disable all of your add-ons. Close IE7 and reopen it and see if the problem persists. If the problem is gone, re-enable your add-ons one by one to narrow it down to the culprit.

OK...I'll give it a try.Thanks. Stanps.What ADDONS are essential? Is is possible to do a "print screen" or something to indicate what addons you use or which I SHOULD have enabled? There are so many....that I would like to do some narrowing down..if possible.
