October 10, 200718 yr Well, I've yet to install my copy of Vista Ultimate on my personal desktop PC, but I did purchase a new laptop over the weekend, and it of course had Vista...Home Premium.Looks good, runs ok...lots to learn! Very different experience from XP. Questions...it's always asking questions :-)There will be, for me at least, a learning curve with Vista.bt
October 10, 200718 yr Once you stop installing things, the questions do die down. You can reduce them even further by disabling UAC completely (not recommended, as it goes from one extreme to another) or running TweakUAC per the following link http://www.tweak-uac.com/download/.I am now pretty happy with Vista on my notebook computer, although I still wonder what all the fuss was about with MS moving us to Vista in the first place. Personally, I would have preferred MS added DX10 to XP and we just could have skipped the whole Vista experience.Gary 9800X3D | 4090 | 64GB | 2+1TB NVME | 2TB SSD | 2TB HDD | 85/50/43” TVs | Quest 3 | DOF H3 Motion Rig | Buttkicker | T.16000M Flight Kit MSFS @ 4K Ultra DLSS Performance FG 80 FPS | VR VDXR Godlike 80Hz SSW | MSFS VR DLSS Quality, Ultra Preset - Windows 11 Acer Nitro 5 | i5-11400H | RTX 3060 6 GB | 32GB DDR4 | 15.6" FHD IPS 144Hz | 2 x 512 GB SSD | Windows 11
