October 31, 200718 yr Seeing as we get a lot of questions regarding video card choices for Flight Simulator, I think having this chart posted as a sticky would help.It doesn't include the new 8800GT as the chart is from some weeks ago, however it does give a good indication of expected performance between ATi and Nvidia models. October 31, 200718 yr I agree it's a fairly good chart but a few comments:That was probably pre-SP1...so who knows about performance.... I can say I get way more than 14FPS with my 6800XTalso, it's true that getting a top-o-line 8800 won't do much in FSX, but in other games it will blow them away, I would assume people would research that hehe what I mean, is that in FSX, an ultra or a GTS isn't much difference, but in UT3, it is huge... | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
