Advice on dual boot wanted!

Featured Replies

Hi,I plan to install Vista Home Premium and intend to run both XP and Vista on my pc. Should I install Vista with dual boot feature or should I use BIOS to select the drive to boot from? Are a Vista dual boot bug free and reliable to use? Or should I use a third party boot manager?I'd appreciate any advice :-)Ulf BCore2Duo X6800 OC 3.3GHz, 4GB RAM8800GTX, dual view 1920x1200 and 1280x1024Creative SB X-Fi (Gamer mode)WinXP Pro SP2, FSX SP1, FS9.1

Vista boot manager works just fine. I'm dual Vista Ultimate and Xp Pro with it. Never had any issues with the Vista boot manager.

Thanks, sargeski! /Ulf B

Be sure to disconnect the old drives when installing XP or Vista, if you go the bios route too. With the P5K, its just a matter of pushing f8 during post and I can select the boot drive.
