December 3, 200718 yr I currently have three monitors on a matrox TH2GO/nvidia 8800 GTX sli running FSX on Vista 64. After playing with everything, tuning, installing addons, etc with success, I decided it was time to add my fourth monitor to use as a GPS display. I disabled SLI and I have successful added the 4th monitor to the windows desktop. It works fine. In FSX I get a black screen on the fourth monitor and anything I move to the 4th monitor does not show up. I have tried full screen and windowed, docked and undocked. Is this supported by FSX and Nvidia?I also played around with Maxivista and considered Project Megenta. But not sure that is the direction I would like to go.
December 3, 200718 yr This is why I'm sticking with XP (for now)http://hometown.aol.co.uk/JimCooper1/Grob1.JPGVista driver doesn't seem to handle multi-monitors so wellJim
December 3, 200718 yr I loaded a computer (at work) with Vista 32 bit default install. The computer uses a Radeon X1300. I loaded the FSX demo and was sucessful at loading full screen FSX one the main screen with GPS and other instruments on the second screen. So I have at least narrowed the problem down to Vista 64, DirectX 10, Nvidia, TH2GO, something to do with the SLI or second video card,.... or about 50 billion other things. At least it should work with Vista. And by the way I did not load any hot fixes.
December 4, 200718 yr I run a very similar config - V64, TH2G, 4th monitor, FSX - and whilst full screen mode does as you say, I have no such problem with FSX in windowed mode. ie. I can undock any panel and move it across the TH2G display or over to the fourth monitor with similar ease. I'm not sure what to suggest as it should just 'work' and have nothing to do with what OS you are running.Gary 9800X3D | 4090 | 64GB | 2+1TB NVME | 2TB SSD | 2TB HDD | 85/50/43” TVs | Quest 3 | DOF H3 Motion Rig | Buttkicker | T.16000M Flight Kit MSFS @ 4K Ultra DLSS Performance FG 80 FPS | VR VDXR Godlike 80Hz SSW | MSFS VR DLSS Quality, Ultra Preset - Windows 11 Acer Nitro 5 | i5-11400H | RTX 3060 6 GB | 32GB DDR4 | 15.6" FHD IPS 144Hz | 2 x 512 GB SSD | Windows 11

I suspect the problem lies with Matrox Drivers and Video drivers?Did you use the Matrox Vista64 drivers?(Clutching at straws here!!!)Good luck, hope you get it sortedRegardsJim
December 4, 200718 yr I should add that I am not using the Matrox drivers at all. After trying them in XP and found that screen splitting didn't work (ie. having windows snap-to a single screen when maximising) and I was having resolution issues (sometimes if I set 3840x1024 for the TH2G display, I lost the fourth display completely, or when I turned the fourth display back on I could only get 2400x600 on the TH2G display - arghhh!). As such, I haven't even bothered with Matrox's driver in Vista 64.Gary 9800X3D | 4090 | 64GB | 2+1TB NVME | 2TB SSD | 2TB HDD | 85/50/43” TVs | Quest 3 | DOF H3 Motion Rig | Buttkicker | T.16000M Flight Kit MSFS @ 4K Ultra DLSS Performance FG 80 FPS | VR VDXR Godlike 80Hz SSW | MSFS VR DLSS Quality, Ultra Preset - Windows 11 Acer Nitro 5 | i5-11400H | RTX 3060 6 GB | 32GB DDR4 | 15.6" FHD IPS 144Hz | 2 x 512 GB SSD | Windows 11
December 4, 200718 yr I have discovered the problem that I am experiencing. It will not work on my system with the DX10 preview enabled. With DX10 I get a black screen on the 4th monitor and no gauges show up when moved to the screen. Tonight I will now try to re-enable my SLI setup and possibly add a Nvidia 8600gt as a third video card for the 4th monitor. Then I will test DX10 again.Does anyone have DX10 running under this scenario?
December 4, 200718 yr I have nearly the same setup with Vista 32 (TH2Go, 8800gtx and 4 monitors). Last time I tried it, it worked fine. I did notice that one of the various beta drivers for the 8800gtx resulted in the same problem you are describing - and it happened anytime a secondary monitor was useed, with or without the TH2go. I'll check again next time I fly and confirm that it is working with the lastest beta driver.Jesse

I would get that. Setting my three to 59Hz rather than 60Hz solved the bandwidth issue.
