January 4, 200818 yr I have the EVGA 8800 GTX Superclocked edition and I'm getting terrible shade effects on buildings and such. It seems alot of flickering with the shadows and also my MIP seems a bit intense any suggestions? Also is there a thread on the proper settings I should have with Nhancer and the control panel and FSX? Thanks
January 4, 200818 yr First off, are you allowing AA and AF to be run in-game? Or is it enabled in forceware? To each his own but I let the application decide.I assume you're in DX10 mode? If so I believe flickering with VC shadows are normal. As well and flickering textures near airport and on taxiways. What do you mean by bad shade effects? January 4, 200818 yr Read this, it made all the difference in the world for me.I have AF and AA checked in FSX.http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...id=430970&page=Good luck. I hope it works as well for you as it did for me.
January 5, 200818 yr EUREKA! You must set the Nvidia setting in GLOBAL as well as the Profile. Even if you don't use ENHANCER, the settings must be made in the Global section of the card's display settings. My frames jumped considerably and most importantly didn't fluctuate as much when I duplicated my Profile settings in the Global section of the card.I use Geofa's settings that he relayed in the FSX forum because I too have the 8800GT card. They work great for me. I am totally happy with FSX now and keep hoping that some addon doesn't someday slow the whole thing down. For now, I'm in FSX Heaven.
