January 10, 200818 yr I am running fs9.1 on a P4 DC 2.8 w/ ATI X1550 256 mb PCI video card (not PCIe). Win XP Home SP2. While currently using 7.6 drivers, I have tried almost all between 7.2 and 7.12 using Tray Tools in lieu of CCC.My issue is that my PC is seeing reflective surfaces as transparencies.Meaning that if I check the reflection box on the hardware tab in options>settings>display, my planes become semi-transparent. If they are a polished aluminum/chrome texture then they become almost 100% transparent.Has anyone seen this in the past and/or have any ideas how to fix it?I have current directx and 3.net, and have tried many vid drivers without success.All ideas, beyond changing drivers, will be appreciated. January 13, 200818 yr Author If a picture paints a thousand words, here's 4kHere is the default C172 w/ reflections checked.An addon w/ reflections checked.W/o reflections checked.What it is supposed to look like (copied off a download site).It is a sim issue not an individual plane issue, or more correctly it is a PC issue. The best gift you can give your children is your time.
