A tiny Asus eeePC notebook is on order and it will be installed with winXP. But not every program works on this tiny little thingee. I know it will take a LAN connection OK, but has anyone actually installed and used Peter Dowson's utilities on one of these? Of course I would use the VGA out connection to a monitor, not the built in 7" screen ;).But I didn't want to buy the software from Pete if it wasn't going to work on my second computer (the eeePC), which like I said is picky about which applications it will run.

I used FSX Google Earth on it , worked fine, didnt need wideFS.It will run anything Xp runs with an external monitor.The only issues are when using the 7" screen some programs want 1024x768 to run, very few Ive found, you can also install a hacked driver to give your 1024x768 on the 7" screen.I upgraded the ram to 2GB and added a 16GB SDHC card, works great.Only thing I dont like about it is it runs HOT, then the fan kicks in at 55C. Much better than a big bulky laptop I find.

Thank you sir,Jackcnd.Sounds good, so then, I just went ahead then and have gotten a 2GB RAM, and will add the 16 SDHC later. Meanwhile the eeePC is still in the mail and will arrive here shortly. BTW, for anybody else considering one, check their fan forums, apparently a touch screen model is due out in 3/4 months with an 8.9" screen upsize.
