January 29, 200818 yr Hi, is there any roadmap (other than rumours) for Penryn/Yorkfield CPU speeds that are expected/planned for this year ?Cheers,Siggy Siggy Schwarz
January 30, 200818 yr Intel QX9770 at 3.2 GHz for about $1400 is what I'm sure of. You might go to Wikipedia for the list of future processors to see what's there.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_futur...e-vrzone-080117http://vr-zone.com/articles/Intel_Desktop_...edule/5510.html Regards, BoeingGuy ASUS P5E X38 | Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 3.2 GHz on 1600 MHz FSB (400x8) | 4 GB DDR2-800 RAM | EVGA GeForce 8800 GT Superclocked @ 679/979 | 320 GB Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 RPM HD
January 30, 200818 yr If you want to oc, the e8400 looks like a low cost speed champ.Having 2 cores its easier to overclock, less heat.Default 3Ghz but with a good MB and ram, should over clock to 3.6-4Ghz pretty easy. Most 9650's hit 4Ghz on air, but come at a high cost.
