Video RAM?

Featured Replies

I noticed that nZone, 3DMark06, and System Requirements Lab all report my 8800 GT as having 480.5 MB GDDR3 video RAM. What happened to the other 31.5 MB? Isn't this a 512 MB video card?Apologies if this is a dumb question and the answer is quite obvious. Thanks,BoeingGuy

HMMMM, 3Dmark06 shows my 8800 gt as having 482 MB. Must have something to do with how the system uses the ram. Kind of like you can't use all of your 160GB HD. Ntune shows it as 512MB. I know no one here uses nvidia control panel. It works great for me.BobE6750 no OC, vista basic, 2GB 667 ram, 8800gt, stupid 17 inch crt
