If anyone is interested, I upgraded video cards today. Up until now, I'd used an ATI x1900xt, 256mb of vid mem. Now, evga 8800 gts 512 mb (g92).Otherwise, I have an E6600 running at 3ghz, 4 gb of ram, and the normal other stuff. Single monitor, 19" samsung vga at 1280x1024 native resolution.I used Nick's advise for setting up nhancer for fans, and rivatuner for render settings.FSX: no change in frame rates....shows how cpu dependant fsx is. Of course the quality is nicer. I had Crysis for a while, but couldn't run it before. That proggy has some graphics, and now it plays great...so that's been fun.Only question, I haven't gotten the automatic thresholds working on rivatuner. I used the tutorial, but the tutorial said I'd have threshold add screen on the bottom of hardware monitoring source data screen there isn't the "Plus" sign to add the threshold data. I tried help and it led me to the task scheduler tab on the main screen, and I added the thresholds there, but they don't seem to work.Any ideas?Best, Bob

Ditto, I went from a geforce 6800xt 256mb to my 8800GT 512mb, ran FSXMark07, no change in FPSTo be expected, though I can now run higher AA and AF at no more loss of FPS, so that is nice.hehe, I also was excited to play Crysis, well, the demo at least!I don't know about the settings you are talking about....I use nHancer, but only the basics, for AA and AF

http://www.guru3d.com/article/article/449/is a tutorial on how to set up rivatuner ... supposedly it results in your video card fan turning on automatically when the core temp reaches preset limits.I need to read their forums...my trouble may be due to some change since the version for which the tutorial was written, or else I missed something that turns on a feature.Fun to have new hardware, huh! BobI was just about to post that linkLOLRT has to evolve in order to combat Nvidia changing their drivers and designs to force people to use their software for tuningI stay with RT 2.06 because I only use it for FAN control, nothing else. I use ATI Tool v26 for clocking and it works perfect to automatically clock the card up when FSX boots and then underclock it for normal 2D computer operation when I close FSX.
