March 26, 200818 yr Shouldn't my ATI SAPPHIRE X1650 512mb show good graphics in FSX.http://www.sapphiretech.com/us/products/pr...?gpid=162&grp=3 HAPPY FLYING ~G "Heavy1216" Edge Intel Core i9 10850k 5.0ghz, GeFore RTX 3080 , ASUSTek Prime Z490-V, 32GB DDR4 3600
March 26, 200818 yr FSX performance is mostly dependent on CPU/Motherboard/RAM specifications. A top of the range video card on a decent CPU combo (Q6600 and above) will typically give you 20-30 fps with medium/high settings in FSX.With an X1650 you could pobably expect about 15 fps.You need to post your full sysem specs before anyone can comment constructively.RegardsJim
March 26, 200818 yr Agree with Jim, there are many factors which can influence performance, including the background applications you are running. An X1650 won't be so great. Again like Jim said, an X1650 will probably give you 10-15 FPS. I'd recommend an 9600 or 8800 GT if you can get one, for ATI probably a 3870.So be sure to post the rest of your specs and I'll see what I can do.Regards, Regards, BoeingGuy ASUS P5E X38 | Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 3.2 GHz on 1600 MHz FSB (400x8) | 4 GB DDR2-800 RAM | EVGA GeForce 8800 GT Superclocked @ 679/979 | 320 GB Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 RPM HD
March 26, 200818 yr Boeing Guy...be careful with video recommendation. You need to understand on what basis a particular person establishes value. If its frame rates, you could be setting a person up for a dissapointment, especially if money is tight for that person so spending over $200 is a significant event for them.I recently upgraded from an ATI x1900xt to a Nvidia 8800 GTS 512 (g92). I gained only insigificantly in frame rates. That was fine with me as I expected nothing in terms of frame rates and I have quite pleased by my upgrade....but only because I'm judging the improvement by other measures than frame rates.Logical?BobIntel "badaxe", E6600, EVGA 8800GTS (g92) 512, and assorted other stuff.
