I' m Talking about Panel tooltip problemHello I was having that Panel Tooltip problem, where, every time my mouse was over a gauge (2D or VC) and a tooltip was displayed, a "previous" screenshot of my 2D pane appeared. I have an NVidia 8600GT (512MB) by AlbatronAfter testing several drivers new and old, I visited www.omegadrivers.com, downloaded and installed Nvidia Omega Drivers 2.169.21 (Forceware 169.21) for 2K/XP.Of course before that, I unistalled my NVidia display drivers via control panel CAUTION: TAKE CARE HERE!!! - not to uninstall your chipset or Network drivers if you have any -restarted - and then I ran the DetonatorRIP utility and I restarted again.This driver set SOLVED panel tooltip problem and I haven't noticed any change in FS9 or FSX performance (FPS wise).I read somewhere on the omegadrivers site that omega fixes some driver bugs but they are not performance optimized. Take a look in the READ ME section http://www.omegadrivers.net/nvidia_readme_xp.php) I take NO RESPONSIBILITY if you try and you are not happy. This driver set worked well on my set-up, they are my first Omega drivers for nVidia - I don't know about yours don't take it as panacea though.Sam______________________________________Flight Simmers never get drunk........ Thanks for the info as sometimes I too experience this bug, other times it works right.Since mine is a laptop, I'm warned by Nvidia to use only VGA drivers supplied by and modified by the actual laptop maker itself (in my case M-Tech/Compal), and the latest of these (Jan. 16) (only 156.65)!Anyways good to learn from you the problem is fixed with later drivers.But the Nvidia stie is serious about warning laptop users to avoid general release drivers, as opposed to desktop VGA cards which can use them.
