April 1, 200818 yr Here is a article I found about building the ultimate system. I bet FSX would really (pardin the pun) FLY with this setup!http://www.informationweek.com/news/showAr...id=nl_IWK_daily Jim Wenham
April 1, 200818 yr The problem with that setup is that it would cost $3000 to really do it right :) and the problem is not new......it's the problem we've always had: The $3000 build would only be a little faster in FS than a $1200 build. The final 5 fps costs $$$$$$RhettAMD 3700+ (@2585 mhz), eVGA 7800GT 256 (Guru3D 93.71), ASUS A8N-E, PC Power 510 SLI, 2gb Corsair XMS 3-3-3-8 (1T), WD 150 gig 10000rpm Raptor, WD 250gig 7200rpm SATA2, Seagate 120gb 5400 rpm external HD, CoolerMaster Praetorian Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB

Someone should build both configurations, and compare them side to side. THAT would be interesting, the fact of HOW much really does $2000 up bring more performance.
