4GB DDR2 SDRAM at 800MHz or 2GB of Corsair?

Featured Replies

I can have either for the same price. Which is the better choice for FSX and Vista. Thanks in advance.Bob

More details on the Corsair???If your Vista is 32-bit then there is no point going for 4GB, at best it will be able to handle 3GB and the best combination is 2x1GB + 2x512MB.However 2GB is enough if you run FSX with no other applications running in the background.Jim

Hi Jim,The Corsair is "standard", I guess. It is not Dominator and I apologize as I am familiar with their varieties. I was looking at a Dell system but have since decided to go with either Ibuypower or Velocity Micro or ?. Thanks for your prompt response. Bob..

dont go with iBuypowerhttp://www.resellerratings.com/store/iBUYPOWERVM has higher score but not greathttp://www.resellerratings.com/store/Velocity_MicroThere is another company I've heard good things about but I completely brain-farted the name????Lemme thinkIf you are going with a store-bought/online bought etc PC then 2GB with XP is fine, or 3GB with vista works, unless you go Vista x64, then get 4GB
