9600GT enough for an FS9 @ all sliders right setup?

Featured Replies

Hey everybody!Right now I am thinking about building a complete new system for me.I know that every MSFS is a program which is usually limited by the cpu. But an overclocked intel E8200 or an E8400 should have enough power for the FS9.Now I wonder if an GeForce 9600GT will be a bottleneck for my new system. Because I want the FS2004 at all sliders right and I will use a lot of add-on's like the pmdg 747, the German Airports series including the new Mega Airports, Active Sky and IVAO.Is the 9600GT strong enough to handle this type of FS9-setup?What do you think? Thanks to everybody posting!

Thanks to everybody posting!I would say that for FS9 the above mentioned components are more than enough. I have descent performence on a AMD 64 3200+ 1 Gb RAM 400 MHz NVIDIA 6600GT 256M DDR3 two IDE HD Win XP Home. I am also considering a new system and my research indicate the 9600GT to be a good choice.

okay, thank you. that's what i thougt, too.but now i read in another forum, that the 9600GT has big problems to get the antialiasing working in FS9. even the latest 174.74 driver and nHancer don't seem to help.can somebody confirm this?

Also saw claims about a fix that should have worked but also stories about other problems.

a 7900GTX is more than enough for FS9LOL

To be honest I have all slide to the right and using PMDG744 VC with cloud9 LAX. It was very smooth!! I never fly AI but as far as online goes it will be more than enough.I heard and read some reviews that 9600GT is actually not a bad card considering its price range. So I think you will have enough juice for the birds you have :)[email protected] No OC3G DDR2 Ram8800GT 512MB OCXFX 680iLT
