April 20, 200818 yr I currently have an Intel Pentium Extreme Edition 965 3.73 GHz Dual Core Processor with my Intel P5N-32 SE SLI Deluxe Motherboard. I have noticed that any more complex aircraft other than the basic default aircraft (without glass cockpit) makes me have to turn down alot of the sliders in FSX. Like the Eaglesoft Citation X I have to turn down most everything. I also installed Tile Proxy recently and cannot get crisp clear textures while flying. My tiles per second value is in the 800-1000 range while loading a flight but as soon as I begin taking off it drops to about 40 tps in flight. I figure that my CPU is the bottleneck in all of this.I'm looking at the Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz LGA 775 Quad-Core Processor which fits my motherboard. It is $239 at New Egg. Do you guys think this will help me? Will the results be significant? Here are my current machine specs:Intel P5N-32 SE SLI Deluxe MotherboardIntel Pentium Extreme Edition 965 3.73 GHz Dual Core Processor2 GB Corsair RAMNvidia 7950 GX 2 Video Card with 1 GB Video MemoryWindows XP SP2FSX/SP2/AccellerationThanks...I appreciate any input from the folks here at AVSIM.Brandon
