Overclock a DELL XPS P4?

Featured Replies

According to the following article it's possible to overclock a Dell system. Can anyone tell me if they have tried this and whether or not I can try it on my system? Thank you.http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=2...clocking+A+Dell

You can try it....but would you really want to?? I would mod my case and try to scavange system parts and install a new MB before I would try that. Otherwise, maybe consider building a new budget box that allows you to OC.Regards, Kendall#1: [email protected]/Coolermaster HyperTX2 Gigabyte P35-DS3L 4GB Ballistix Tracers PC6400 EVGA 8800GT - 174.74 beta Seagate 250GB 7200.11 CH Yoke/Pedals/Saitek Throttle Dual Monitor: Dell 2405/1905 #2: Dell 8400 3.2 H.T. 3GB PC4200 - X800XT Diamond Xtreme/Logitech X-530's

I have a DELL XPS Gen 4, my 5th DELL in 10 years (I love 'em), and I would not overclock it. DELLs are not made to be overclocked. If you already have a hi-end system and are basically happy with it, I'd be extremely careful about overclocking. JS

It's amazing the lengths one will go through just to get a piece of software like FSX to perform better:)
