Don't misunderstand the question. I have no intention of rinning FS with graphics embedded on the mb. My concern is can an embedded graphics controller cause problems simply by existing on the mb?Even if disabled and a take for granted that's possible?

You can usually disable it (either in BIOS, via jumper, or the board will disable it on it's own should it see a 3rd party card installed). ...but your best bet will be to find the motherboard's manual online and take a read. Better safe than sorry!-Greg
