November 12, 200817 yr I noticed I had enabled Vsync on my FSX profile in nHancer.I'm getting little microstutters during panning etc. I just turned it off and notice the stutters go away. What exactly does Vsync do? | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
November 12, 200817 yr It is to help with a tearing effect you get with it off as well as to limit the FPS so they dont exceed your monitors refresh rate. I agree it is a bit better with it off and can live with the effects of it being off for the performance benefit. Jim Wenham
November 16, 200817 yr Author bump, I think now that the vsync doesnt help as much as I previously thought. I'm still getting little annoying stutters...Thoughts? | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
November 16, 200817 yr Have you tried the BUFFERPOOL tweak? This is what I have mine set at:[bUFFERPOOLS]PoolSize=8000000If you havent, just add it to your CFG. The other things that might help that come to mind is the TBM setting (texture bandwidth mult) Jim Wenham
