June 21, 200421 yr I'm kind of teaching myself how to do repaints and I think I'm getting the hang of it. I do have one question though. what's the easiest way to take the full left and right fuselage images and turn them into the single image with the fuselage "quartered"? I've tried cutting and pasting, but lining up the images is difficult. also, do I need to flatten the full fuselage images before bring them over? thanks in advance for any input
June 22, 200421 yr well.. ur first step is right..regrading the aligning up part..set one of ur fuse layers to multiply.. then i think it would be much easier :D
June 23, 200421 yr Let's take the 737-700 as an example:Paint the full_left and the full_right (don't forget to mirror any writings on the right side. Then save these, merge all the layers in the full_left and copy it into the clipboard. I would recommend to close the full_left.psd WITHOUT saving it. Now open the pmdg_700_fuse_t.tga (I never use the pmdg_700_fuse_t..psd) and paste the full_left from the clipboard into the two upper quarters of the pmdg_700_fuse_t.tga. The second quarter should start at an offset of -911. Repeat this with the full_right pasting it into the lower two quarters of the pmdg_700_fuse_t.tga. Save the TGA and convert it with DXTBMP (saving it without mips!).CheersThomas
June 26, 200421 yr Hi Thomas,Thanks for the example. I would appreciate it if you could expand a little on the actual process of pasting the full_left to the _fuse_t file. I am using PSP 8.10 ( Copy Merged - > Paste As New Selection) but am having much difficulty. This is probably a real trivial issue for most but I only started repainting yesterday and there is such a steep learning curve. Many thanks,Mark

July 12, 200421 yr Thank you, thank-you, thank-you.I pained up the full Right and Left loaded it up and nothing on the fuse. I then realize I have to somehow paint the 3 sections, and I was thinking...how the $%&* am I going to line all of that up? Anyway this solves the problem.regards,Mark. Mark CYYZ
