January 23, 200323 yr Commercial Member >The civilian storage >field is at KTUS. It's actually located to the northwest of the Tucson metro area near Marana, not at KTUS. You can see it very easily from I-10 driving north toward Phoenix. There's a whole bunhc of nearly brand new 747-400's, 777's and 757's out there - such a shame. On the north end of the field by the way is an active AH-64 Apache gunship squadron. This is also where they were flight testing the V-22 Osprey's until one crashed there killing 19 about a year and half back... January 23, 200323 yr As I understand it that C-46 is "China Doll", owned by the CAF and based in Camarillo. I've seen it at every airshow I've ever been to in Southern California, and thus it was filmed at Mojave (in the California desert).
