am I correct in saying you're using PSP to repaint the aircraft and placing the bmp yourself into the texture folder? If so, have you done any converting of the bmp between these stages?

yes thats correct as far as converting??convert what?i guess the biggest dissapointment to me is the abacus fs repaint program, i can load in the textures i want to repaint but it doesnt seperate it out in layers its just one flat layerso that when i paint over it, it wipes out all the rivet line details and all that good stuffdoes the fs repaint program seperate into layers? or am i missing something here?thanksciao!Brian S

You have to save the BMP's most preferrably in 32-bit format, 24-bit won't work.

To be able to view aircraft textures they need to be converted for flight sim. If you click on the link above my signature for tutorials theres one on that site about converting bmps for flight sim.Let me know if you still need help with that :)As for FS Repaint, you are correct. I have the demo version and just use it for viewing repaints instead of going into flight sim. If you're serious about repaint then I advise you to use programs like PSP and PS.

ahh! thats what i forgot!ok i d/l a little program called dxtbmp.exe ive decided not to use the b1900d so i d/l the pmdg b1900c paintkit and in there is a nice little tutorial of how to paint, i will go through that, thanks for the helpp.s. im surprised there is no service out there that will paint your fs aircraft for a real money fee, i for one would be willing to pay someone to paint some a/c for me.i think a painting service would be a big hit... ??ciao!Brian S

I sort of offer this where you can request a paint and all I ask is a small donation. However generally I paint GA and twin props. If you want any repaints for that type of size then you can always let me know.. :)
