November 5, 200817 yr Hi everyone,I have the Overland Airbus package and also got the repaint kits downloaded at the overland homepage (one download for A319, A320, A321).Now - i am trying to repaint the A319. However i dont have the tail - paintfile "a319tail_t.bmp" in the paintkit. I can find the "a320tail_t.bmp" file. Strange enough - this file comes not as a layered version (as the fuselage files come). Same with the engine (CFM only) and wing files - plain bitmap. The provided "a320tail_t.bmp" file does not seem to work. Although it seems to have the same content, renaming it and copying it into my set of paint files does not work. The tail and winglets stay blank. Same for the engine and wing files - the corrsponding areas stay blank. I tried plain and extended bitmaps (DXTbmp)as well as different bit settings (16+24bit). Now - i also tried other tail files from the default textures. Just copied them into my new folder - one is there (e.g. british airways) the other not (air canada). It seems not to be a problem with different models, since my repaint is for a CFM model. The BA-repaint is for the IAE model.Since there are a lot of repaints out there i wondered if i am doing something wrong. This is not the first time i am repainting - but the first Overland version. Has anyone some advices?
November 5, 200817 yr Am I correct in guessing you're able to paint on to the bmps but not able to get them to display in Flight Sim?If thats the case then make sure you're converting the bmps (with DXTBmp) for Flight Sim use.If that isn't the problem could you post a screenshot of the problem? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
November 10, 200817 yr Author Thanks for the replay. DXTbmp could not overwrite the previous files - and the massage poped up in the backround. I must have turned on write-protection somehow. However - problem fixed - everthing is fine.
