Problem with Load Manager ver. 1.1

Featured Replies

I've just installed the TU-154 and all its supporting software and updates. I have an odd problem with Load Manager: There is almost no text showing when the program loads. Instead, there are only question marks where text should be. For example, the one menu item there is shows ?????. Clicking on it brings up a menu that has a tick mark and then something similar to the following: ?????????? ???? . ??????????Any ideas as to what's gone wrong?Joel Murray

Joel, you would Cyrillic characters instead of the question marks, if your PC would have a Russian setting for not Unicode supporting programs. To the rescue, there is a language switch (see the red mark in attached screenshot)http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/95067.jpgMichael

Hello MichaelDo you have any advice for how programs like NVUCalc can be set up so that either the English of Cyrillic characters can be seen (rather than ????????) on machines that use English as the native language?ThanksSimon

Excellent! Thank you very much, Michael. The switch worked.Cheers!Joel

Simon, that program also is not yet Unicode conform, so e.g. in Windows XP :Go to Control Panel, Regional- and Languagesettings, Advanced and change support for non Unicode programs to "Russian".That is a little bit inconvenient, but you can anytime change back to the original setting (english or US-English).The NVU Calculator can export up to 16 flightplans, either self created flightplans or via the Import FS flightplan function. So you probably might not need to change above setting every day.Michael
