Extracting Aiport Information from FS2002

Featured Replies

Does anyone know how to extract airport information from FS2002? I would like to pull out the runway headings, ILS frequencies, radio frequencies, etc.. I want to make a database of the airports but I don't how to get the information out of FS.Thanks,

Groundpounder,I think that if you download AFCAD131.zip (should be available here or at flightsim.com) and installed it, you would be able to import airport data as a text file, and, if careful, even modify it. Read the accompaning text file fully. Also, if you go to World/Map View and zoom in to the airport, and then double click on one of the airport's runways, you can get a lot of the info you want.Good luck,

Airport Chart Viewer aka Airport's Chart Viewer does this, but the author doesn't document the resulting database so I don't know how to use it outside of the program. Maybe he would reveal the format?scott s..

Thanks for the information. I once saw someone post screen shots of a database made in MS Access that had all the airport information in it. He said that we just extracted all the information from FS somehow and I tried to email him about his program but I never had a response. Thanks again.
