How to display GPS map

Recommended Posts

I used the GPS initially to have a map for better orientation. But I have seen now that it is very useful also for the approaches. The PSS 777 FMC has the Sids, the Stars but it does not have the approaches. But ,as those are in the GPS, you can look them up there and introduce the waypoints in the FMC.Just flew into Hongkong(VHHH) . The FMC has the Star to waypoint Guava, but no approach. So I looked up the turning approach to runway 07R in the Gps and introduced waypoints Sokoe, Limes and D757U manually in the FMC.So both are complementary.Guy
