February 14, 200620 yr The baton twirled and twirled high in the air and eventually felt down, pointing in my direction. So I feel it's time to introduce myself. My name is Jozef Kusters. I live in a village called Nuenen, in the southern part of the Netherlands, not too far from airport Eindhoven (EHEH).Kas (DarkCharizma) thinks that he might be the youngest one in the team; I think I might be the oldest one, being well over 60 years of age.I am a retired jurist (civil law mainly) and do not have any connection with real world aviation. My first MS flight simulator was the first one for a PC, on a single 5.25" floppy disk. And an additional flopyy with extra airfields. Since then I am a regular 'flightsimmer'. Although this is my first RTW Race, I have been around the world already in a single prop plane together with many others (amongst them Mike (MM) and Jeff (jt_williams) some years ago. See: http://www.dmcity.com/slarty/I am looking forwards to the event and I will try to make the most of it. With the right team spirit, we will get that trophy back where it belongs: to the AVSim Team!Jozef K. http://homepages.onsnet.nu/~jkusters/signature.jpg
February 15, 200620 yr Hi all , Bry here , I am Harveys (Arrvoo) brother. I have been flying flight sims on the pc since fs98 . I am a 747/777 casualty engineer, for British Airways based at Heathrow, by trade and hence have a great love for Aviation . I have had the fortune to fly almost for real on the 747 simulators at Work (most entertaining) and am able and willing to offer my services to the team . TEAM AVSIM "Fly Anything" Member BAW 1193
February 16, 200620 yr I'm Hamish, a newb to RTW, but have been flying sims since the C64. My early years were all combat sims until my first real life flying lessons at which point I got interested in MSFS.My RL flight training was initially in Sydney, Australia were I grew ,up. I put in 11 hours at Bankstown airport in Sydney's south. 8 years ago I moved to New York City and have since put in another 40 hours or so at Teterboro (KTEB) which is just across the George Washington bridge. In December I finally got out of the city and now live in Greenwich, CT so I will probably finish off my license at Westchester Co. (KHPN) ,which is 6 miles up the road, if and when I get the money to do that.I just upgraded my home built PC and am back into the flightsim addiction again and am currently very addicted to FSEconomy. I promise not to try and make a logged FSE flight in the race :)I'll be flying the Avanti which I purchased from FSD especially for the race. 2 days ago an Avanti (which I believe there are only 20 of in america) flew directly above my head on its way into Westchester airport. It sounded and looked awesome. I took that as a sign that I am meant to be in this race.I work at home as an ecommerce developer and have insomnia so I'll be able to help out on the late night flights. I didnt think I'd have anything to say but this is already getting too long so tally ho and all that.Cheers,
