Question about next version of Flight Simulator

I was looking at the screenshots very carefully but I want to know what you think the answer to...Do you see this screenshot and the arrow I made. I am very wondering if you fly toward to the end of the clouds (where the arrow points), will that be the end of the cloud layer or is it very similiar to FS2k2 that the overcast continues as you fly?

It's the end of the cloud bank.

Uhm, how do you know? I haven't found any info on the site yet that says that's the way it works... I'm pessimistic about this, because it's a flaw that's been with FS for a long time now. I'd love for this to be true, but if it's not, I'd also like MS to know about it now so they have a chance to address the issue.

Uhm .. well ... I know because .. err ... (walks away whistling). I'm rite tho. :-)

Hi, Far clouds and clouds blend to the Ms mesh terrain!See this picture at the bottom and far:"http://zone.msn.com/images/FS02/FS9Schweizer_Sailplane_10.jpg"I would not take the any final judgement as it still in aplha, I remember in fs2002.ThanksChris Willis[link:fsw.simflight.com/FSWMenuFsSim.html]Clouds And Addons For MsFs

Based on the screenshots I saw, I love the lighting in this version. Looks very pretty the change of light. I also noticed very nice clouds and visibility layers effect near the terrain unlike the current versions where we see fuzzy "visibility" polys cuting the mountains... All in all looks very beautiful but we will see how PC friendly it will be.Now this brings me to ask 2 question: How much of CFS3 terrain technology will be included in this one? I think they did not mention anything about CFS3 Technology in the specs...Also will this version be the "FS2004"? Or is this a transition version or a special edition? Because it will be released in Summer unlike the past versions that used to show around fall...CheersMichel

Woooo! Thats a Tidbit of good news if that annoying horizon clear line was going to be in CoF I was going to SCREAM! :-8 But I didn't hear it from you, perhaps I also didn't hear from you that AI planes keep correct spacing now?(walks away whistling, because I trip & fall walking & chewing gum :-lol )

>Also will this version be the "FS2004"? Or is this a >transition version or a special edition? Because it will be >released in Summer unlike the past versions that used to >show around fall... If you think back, fs2k2 was set for August 2001 release. August is still summer. If I remember right it was nudged a few weeks for polishing then we were hit with 9/11 and it was delayed till late Oct.

Because if it weren't the people who have pirated betas would by now be turning up here with their questions how they can disable the timeouts and other security features :-)

THehehehehe, oh man, you don't know how damn right you are. :-) Just thought you had that from another site where MS possibly posted that information. ;-)

Hi, "From where the heck you know that it's still in Alpha phase???"-Because all first shot from Microsoft are ALWAYS in alpha-All fs shot Before the Microsoft Fanstock are always in alpha-fs9.0 shots Oskosh 03 shots this time will be in beta. and this line from me "I would not take the any final judgement as it still in aplha, I remember in fs2002."I remember like yesterday, most of people was complaining about fs2002 alpha shots, (alpha is only close to an demo).ThanksChris Willis[link:fsw.simflight.com/FSWMenuFsSim.html]Clouds And Addons For MsFs
