October 17, 200520 yr For all those who are getting sick of old good MS Mike just found this company selling new voices for $30 each - personally I like Wiliam and Diane from their offer. http://www.cepstral.com/Dan
October 17, 200520 yr Interesting... certainly a less expensive alternative to the ATT voices. Let us know how they work for you.I was a holdout for the ATT voices and continued using MS Mike till a couple weeks ago. My concern being that the ATT voices were too clear. I have to admit I don't imagine I'll ever go back to MS Mike, the ATT voices are such an improvement. Tegwyn is working on an idea of mine to add a static and background noise track to the voices of AI aircraft so that they sound a little more real, lets hope the idea works and isn't too hokey. October 17, 200520 yr Author I found them just yesterday so I don't have them yet but they have demo section on their site where you can try they offer. My feeling is they are of the same quality as AT&T voiceshmmm noices on background is a good idea - alone those voices sound "too clean". On cestral there are also demo voices with some effects applied to them so maybe somebody skilled enough can make it sound ... more phoney - if such word exists :()
January 4, 200620 yr Guys I've found them a couple of days ago.Imo they are better then ATT,Cepstral and any other package!:)Enjoyhttp://www.neospeech.com/demo/demo_text.phpTry with "Descend and maintain 7000 expect vectors ILS runway 11" and make some coparission to the otehr voices.
January 6, 200620 yr After installing Neospeech Voices I got a small problem. The voice pitch under VoxAtc is simply to high while in Windows everything is OK.Is there any setting to decrease the voice pitch in voxatc because Paul from Neospeech sound a bit gay...lol:)) (any .ini file or so on)?
