VoxATC 4 and an apology
Hi guysany chance that the new sdk opened possibility of running VoxATC 4 on the seconcd computer - because I can't imagine any current computer running FSX and VoxATC any faster then 1fps ...OK maybe 2fps :()It would really help if both those CPU hungry programs were running on separate boxes -smooth ATC on one and smooth - well sort of... FSX on the second...Dan

Anyone using Frolov's/Intersky Dash-8?????
here is a link to fanda's forum if it helps:http://bathursted.ccnb.nb.ca/fanda/Forum/index.phpyes, the price is a little bit on the high side but it is still the best turboprop around. Pity it doesn't get enough attention here in this forum but c'est la vie - it seems to be a rule with some excelent packages around like VoxATC or King Air and those #^!$%% jets will always be beaten here till death :)Dan

New voices from Cestral
I found them just yesterday so I don't have them yet but they have demo section on their site where you can try they offer. My feeling is they are of the same quality as AT&T voiceshmmm noices on background is a good idea - alone those voices sound "too clean". On cestral there are also demo voices with some effects applied to them so maybe somebody skilled enough can make it sound ... more phoney - if such word exists :()

RC4 and speech recognition
I don' think so... I am definitely not a native speaker and I got like 90-95% recognition rate. It all comes to proper "teaching" of your computer recognition engine to your pronounciation. My guess is that a lot of 'natives' are often lazy to go through that process because - "I speak proper english so it should work out of the box" - and then when it doesn't work they would say - this technology sucks, and is not good enough yet, and ranting goes on...I think that it all works fine on powerfull enough computers and with some additional voices from AT&T or Cepstral TTS is better solution as one used in RC. And even ATC part is far superior in RC I at the moment prefer to use VoxATC because I can speak to atc and there is no need to hunt for some obscure keys - and if I am not recognized there is always posibility to go back to keyboard for that one unrecognized command...So guys I hope if not for RC 4 than at least RC 4.something :() or RC 5 should use this.Dan

Vox ATc voices
next time look better, there is looong thread about it :())))http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...d=193&mode=fullalso you can try acapela voices so you will have an idea how does it will sound with beter voices - you can download a demo here (use pro voices)http://www.acapela-group.com/demos/desktop.aspbut I didn't find a place to finally buy that product on line so I don't even know the price. But demo sounds great in VoxATC.If you don't want to download and install all that voices (each around 150mb and server is a bit slowish)then listen to demo here http://demo.acapela-group.com/Dan

Caution with Just Flight.
at least you finnaly can fly your plane. As for keeping plane for future, maybe someone with this plane have a list of files instaled by this plane and can you help ..?For a future my advice is to get a nice programm called Total Uninstall, which you run before any install and it will give you a snapshot of your system before and after install, so you know exactly what was put in your disc and registry. I personally am using it for every install I do lately - it helps to keep system nice and lean when you do a lot of installing and uninstalling as I do.Take care.

Caution with Just Flight.
Firstly, sorry Vernon about your problems and thank you for making me aware of really stupid way of licencing programms Just Flights put in place. Definitelly I WILL NOT be buying from them or anybody with such policy. And don' give me crap about how it is pirates fault - punishing paying customers is not a way dealing with the issue. Allowing only three hardwarebound installations is wrong especially when the only lace where iti is mentioned is EULA - stuf 98% of peoples won't read hoping there is nothing really faul in it. At least I wont be expecting such a thing hidden there, why don't they just put it next to price? And then there is an issue of administrative fees for next install - hmmm is it 5 cents, one dollar or 200% of original price? - not a word about it there...well I am pretty much disapointed with them and happy that only thing I have from Just flight is PSS A320 on CD and there is no such cripling limitation on that - already reinstaled about 10 times. You know, some people are playing around their computers a lot continually upgrading, reinstalling and so on... OK ok... it is their right to put such policy in place, and also it is my right not to buy from them - a right I will exercise in this case.Anyway, no need to buy some payware GA when the only GA I am flying is Maule - which is for sure better then some payware planes - and is for free.Oh and another thing, for those blaming Vernon for having win 98 - here is something interesting from Just flight web site, product specifications for Seneca:Pentium III 1.7 GHz PC Windows 95/98/ME/XP 256Mb RAM - 512Mb For Windows XP.... no need to add anything! So, Vernon, wishing you better luck if you make another addon purchaseDan

Hi ZaneI forgot to put update here, sorry.I did contact them, they were quite affraid they can't help me because err log gave some failed file operation so I reinstalled - well let say everything save windows and, surprise, everything is working now including my beloved Fanda's Dash8 which was previously running without radios. So bottom line is - a few hours of playing DJ with all those installation disks and we are back in game. But I am telling you I definitelly don't want to hear about installing or reinstalling of anything in the near future :)Dan

Oh no!! Fatal Error!....
So i bought a new AMD 64 3200+ just to be able run FS with VoxATC and when I installed demo v 2.71 first thing I get is >> Fatal Error! Disable VoxATC! << No fair!!! I was looking forward to this soft for a few years from the old version for 2002 and now when I finallt got comp powerfull enough to run it I can't because this soft apparently doesn't like me?!I read the old thread about this error but there wasnt any real solution to it so i hope maybe meantime somebody has a solution...FSUPIC instaled, SAPI5 instaled ( and reinstaled)- even some additional demo voices on top, but switched back to Mike just to be sure, tryed even older version of VoxATC (2.5) and nothing geting desperate like some housewives...Dan
