well, all the reviews, including the review on simhq.com specially geared for simulation show the fastest AMD processor, yet slightly overrated in its 3000 rating and way too expensive fot the power it delivers. Michael J.

Thanks Michael,New Barton 2800+ is now $450 at Akihabara in Tokyo. 3000+ will be out soon but likely priced over $500. But Pentium 4 3.06G cost over 600 now. Seeing usual trend of price drop, it would be my next target of upgrade if my M/B maker publish new BIOS to support the processor.

Get a PIV 2.53 and OC it to 2.8ghz or higher (go too much higher then 3.1 and you are going to need a REAlLY good water cooling system or an Ice cooler).The PIV 2.53 533FSB is only $235 on www.newegg.com in the retail box!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!GREAT PRICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Shane
