September 3, 200619 yr Hi folks,Has anyone found a configuration of settings that allows the computer to keep up with the airplane's progress when loading textures?Effectively I've only been able to fly the ultralight so far...everything else goes faster than the computer can keep up with. Are there any texture bandwidth tweaks in FSX.cfg that anyone's found? Or anything in the display settings that will mitigate this?Best,Matt SmithPentium D 3.2 Ghz DualGeForce 7900GT 256MB2G RAM Matthew Smith | Priority Left Consulting www.priorityleft.com
September 3, 200619 yr Read this including the comments posted by p-12c http://blogs.technet.com/p-12c_pilot/archi.../20/448111.aspxShould be much improved in the final release. Phil.
September 3, 200619 yr lets hope so, it would be cool to be able to enjoy the great groundtextures from the vc in on of the jets.
September 3, 200619 yr Hopefully the release version of FSX will be an improvement on the demo, but in the meantime try lowering the target frame rate limitmakes a HUGE differenceSetting it at 15FPS lets the 1m textures shine 99% of the time.John
September 4, 200619 yr >I must be an idiot for asking this, but where is the fsx.cfg>file located?Hey same here, I even did a search in the main folder and nothing :(
September 4, 200619 yr Just do a windows search of your hard drive for "all files and folders" with hiddens files and folders selected under "More advanced options".
September 4, 200619 yr It should be here. C:Documents and SettingsusernameApplication DataMicrosoftFSXfsx.cfgYou'll need to enable hidden folders to find it. Phil
September 4, 200619 yr Does that line of code in P-12's blog actually work, or will it only work in the final release?
