The speed brake seems to have no effect on the descent profile. Speed, Pitch and ROC not observed to change.Should this be the case?ThanksSteve

No it shouldn't be the case...unless the hydraulics aren't powered or you have closed the shutoff switches on the overhead panel.The speed brake will not make the plane shudder and fall like a meteor like some other (bad) flight models do.CheersBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VSantiago de Chile

Yes some sim aircraft go overboard with the effects. This on the other hand is nothing and yes the hyd's are powered and switches closed.Cheers Steve

Hi,I face the same problem since I re-installed FS9 a month or so ago. I can't remeber to have done anything different than my previous installation. In fact the "control surefaces"/"speed breaks" seems unoperative and they don't move at all whether I move the yoke lever(assigned as directed) or press the / button in order to do it the old fashioned way. Could you please do a re-cap of the "settings" we need via the FSUIPc? maybe we have missed something there ;)Worths to point out that the speedbreaks seems to deploy well with the KittyHawk model (the other 732) so I am not sure if it is hydraulic releated. I have to admit though that I have not apply any FSUIPC changed on the KittyHawk model and I used the / to observer the breaks moving.Any help will be really appreciated.RegardsYiannisp.s Also (I don't know if it is related) but the speedbreaks are not easily observable to move even when things were going fine. I mean you had to change view in order to see them in their deployed position. If you were observing them externaly and moving hte lever, nothing was happening till you go in the cockpit and out again.

Hi all,I would aggregate, if you allow me, that yes the spoilers are coming out in spot view, but only the flight spoilers not all the spoiler panels as in the Kittyhawk version, though I must say that it just happens in replay spot view. I like also add that, although it is true that spoilers are linked to the compression of the nose gear strut in some 737's, that arrangement is seldom used in real life in order to prevent floating on the runway after touchdown and waste precious pavement for stopping. I have never flown 737's with spoilers linked to it, i.e. all were linked to the compression of the main landing gear.Maybe we, TinMouse users, could get in the near future a revision of the model as a patch.ThanksArt

The decision to delay the ground spoiler deployment until nosewheel contact was made because the model by Terry Gaff uses the wing fold animation for the gnd spoiler panels. This apparently has the unhappy side effect of dumping lift, slamming the nose gear down pretty violently when the spoilers deploy on touchdown.As a working compromise, changes already made for the next version model the spoiler effects at MLG contact, but will still not trigger the gnd spoiler animation until nosewheel contact.RegardsBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VSantiago de Chile
