PMDG 747 FS9 update

Hello Ryan,I'm not sure yet.Does the updated FS9 version overwrite the pre-existing panel.cfg file for the FS9 747?-Bryan

I have no idea. I still can't upgrade because I need FSX installed just to get to the FS9 update. PMDG said they MAY fix this so FS9 users don't need FSX.Ryan GamurotLucky to live Hawai'ihttp://www.virtualpilots.org/signatures/vpa296.png

Bryan,Yes, the new update installer for the PMDG 747 does indeed overwrite the panel.cfg file, thus rendering a previous install of FS2Crew unable to function properly. I will try a complete reinstall of everything and see how FS2Crew goes when installed last, or 'on top' of a fresh PMDG FS9 747 latest updated install, and post back with my results.-David

David,Can you please email me a copy of the new panel.cfg that was installed with the new PMDG FS9 Update. admin@fs2crew.comIf it's the same as the FSX version, there were basically no changes to the panel.cfg.Your plan to re-install FS2Crew on top of the latest FS9 PMDG Update should work with no problems, but it's good to double check.Thanks,Bryan

I finally got around to getting the FS9 upgrade and trying what David was doing; reinstalling FS2crew over the upgraded B744. I did a quick test flight and from what I could tell, everything works correctly. Also, everything from PMDG looks intact.
