Adjust aircraft parking position

Recommended Posts

I have being digging through the sdk to find out what tells fsx where to place an aircraft. I just got the wilco 777 and had to adjust the wheel contact poinnts as front wheels wrere high and rear compressed, that went ok but the plane alwyas starts about 6 to 10 feet in front of the yellow parking line so is sometimes in building. Can this be adjusted and where . Be quicker then waiting for patch. Thanks

FSX puts the aircraft model's center point over the center point of the parking space. If the plane's nose is too far forward then it means the parking space is too small for the airplane.

You can either use ADE to adjust the parking space radius and add a tee position to match the distance from the model's center to the nosewheel contact point (the longitudinal reference datum offset + the nosewheel contact point offset), or just try to choose an existing space that's big enough. For the latter, if you have GSX, start the flight on the runway and then use the GSX parking menu to choose a space (it will tell you which spaces are big enough), and then warp the plane to that space.
