FSMETEO and Surface Winds

Featured Replies

I got FS METEO last summer and love it, especially the winds aloft. But I can't seem to generate winds on the surface beyond 1 knt. Does anyone know a fix for this?

You must have FSUIPC installed and have the taxi winds setting on. I think that is cauisng your problem. Check under modules and try turning taxi wind off. That feature prevents your plane from unrealistically blowing off the runway.

I had the opposite problem (actually I have had it a few times now in the past few months):I notice that as I descend from cruising altitude and begin my approach that I still have the winds aloft from cruising altitude! I have refresh rate set to 6 minutes so that should not be the problem.Obviously, I should not be having an approach and landing with 75-100kt winds. I am using FSUIPC 2.78 I think (11/01) and FSMETEO 2.0.Any ideas what the problem might be?Damon

Try the new version of FSUIPC. I think we are up to 2.9 something.
