October 23, 200619 yr Hi fellow pilots,I am having a problem with FSX crashing to the desktop as it loads. It started with my changing the AGP aperture size in the bios. I changed it back with no poisitve effect. I ran the repair function from the installation disks and that didn't fix it. I did a system restore and that fixed it once. Now it is doing it again and the system restore trick didn't fix it. Is there something I can do that will tell me what the problem is? I am running a 3.2 gig Intel P4 with a gig of ram and an ATI X850PE card. Thanks for any help. "A good landing is one you can walk away from. An excellent landing is one you can taxi away from." October 23, 200619 yr Author Well, it looks like the problem was related to the video driver. I updated to the latest ATI driver (6.9) when I installed FSX. I took a shot in the dark and rolled back the 6.5 and the problem seems to have gone away. Time will tell though. "A good landing is one you can walk away from.
