December 9, 200619 yr I opened my well used FlightSim Manager and got the notice that my version was an old one and to go and download the newer one.It now refuses to run. This has happened on an earlier version but the update was not a problem. However Ranainside's website is no longer available and a search seems to show nothing recent which would suggest an alternative.Anyone got any ideas? Or a way of getting the older version to continue working?Like most of these excellent programs, you only appreciate them when they're gone. The usual link is http://www.ranainside.com/software_flightsim_manager.html
December 9, 200619 yr This has been discussed at least 4 times in the last week or so. The author has decided to "disable" the program. A workaround is to double-click on your clock icon in the bottom right of your screen, then set the date back one year. It'll work again.ricardo
December 10, 200619 yr Thanks ricardo. I did a general search but it didn't turn up anything. As I'm new to the forums on AVSIM I thought a direct request may provide a solution. The same thing happened last year - no access to the new version but the old one ceased. I'm prepared to put up with the inconvenience of not having it for a while, but don't understand the rationale of closing the current before a replacement is available. More worrying was the unavailability of the site. Thanks for your input to this.
December 10, 200619 yr tony:there is a work around as ricardo said: turn back you computer's system date to pre- december '06; change what you need with fsmanager; return computer to correct date.-- D.
