I have downloaded several repaints for the Carenado skylane 182Q from avsim.When I go to virtual cockpit the ATC id strip (dymo tape!) does not show the correct tail number. Anyone Know how to change/delete this gauge?

The tape is part of the Carenado panel .BMP file, and cannot be changed without breaking their copyright. It is not a 'gauge' so to speak, as some include in their aircraft/panel. You will find, by digging into the files, that different stock panel .BMP files are used for each stock texture included.
