FS2004 and CFS3 on same drive and partition

Featured Replies

I was wondering if it is possible to install CFS3 on the same drive and partition that my current setup of FS2004 resides without causing any problems. I've read about cfg. files getting changed and other problems with the FSX install so if anybody out there has done this with CFS3, please let me know how it went.Kim

You should be able to run both, as it's possible to run MS2K2 and FS9. Infact I think there was a simlar post here, further down. It stated you needed to rename the FS9.exe file to FS9.new.exePart of the secret of success in life is to eat what you like -M.Twain

I have run FS2002 and FS2004 and CFS3 on the same hard drive/partition without difficulty. I am presently running FS2004, FSX and CFS3 on the same computer and I did have difficulty caused by uninstalling the FSX demo after installing FSX, this wiped my registry for FS9 and FSX out, fortunately there are programs to restore the reg entries.

Thanks all,I'll probably go ahead and purchase CFS3 and the Firepower add-on. I've been spoiling for a little air combat for a change of pace.Kim
