April 19, 200719 yr There have been several repaints posted here in the library of an A-26 Invader from another site, Sim Outhouse. Now this look nice and something I'd like to get. But after visiting that site, I'm at a loss. I can't manuever through it at all. I've tried searches, registering. All seem to be a deadend with lots of ancillary links that lead nowhere, or links that I don't want. Can anybody help me??Please!Rick (MKE)P.S I've actually solved my problems with regard to CTDs. Turned out it appears to have been a corrupt aircraft texture file. Many THANKS to those who scratched their heads and helped me with great advice.
April 19, 200719 yr If you use a hotmail or Gmail or whatever, that type of address it won't register you. You need a real address and all should be well, I just did it a few days ago.
April 19, 200719 yr Contact the Mods at SOH concerning 'rejected' E-mail addys; they'll set things up for you. Great folks over there. That's my next stop.Bob
April 23, 200719 yr This is one of my new favorite aircraft to fly but since I use Radar Contact4 most of the time this plane would not work as it does NOT (as I could find) have a transponder. I took another radio from one of my WW II aircraft, with a TRANSPONDER and installed it into the A-26 and now it works with RC4 just fine. jerrycwo4Why do they call this a A-26 instead of a B-26?
April 23, 200719 yr FYI, the 'A' designation stood for "Attack" which was this airplane's primary combat role. There was a different twin engine WW2 bomber with the designation B-26. It was the Martin Marauder. By the way, there is a nice version of the Martin B-26 (hhiker.zip) by David Eckert either here at AVSIM or at the other site although it did not have many repaints. Damian Radice did a repaint called b26night.zip which is pretty good.Stan V.
