April 20, 200719 yr I installed GE Pro and I'm not sure it took. Do I need to select Scenery Library and 'Add Area' the files that created with the download? Or does this program auto-add and I need do nothing?
April 20, 200719 yr Hi,Nope, you don't need to add it in the Scenery Library. Once GE Pro is installed on your PC, you need to go into the program and install the base textures (day and night) into your sim.Once you've done that, you can go ahead and customize texture sets if you wish.
April 20, 200719 yr Your response just triggered a possible answer to my issue. I may have toggled 'night' on last, but my testing has all been daytime, which would just have the default FS9 views. I need to verify the toggle is set to day and then run the test. I'm correct, right? Only day OR night can be active at any given time, not both?
April 20, 200719 yr Nope, wrong.Toggle them both. That's just a reminder for you what has been installed.
April 20, 200719 yr Day and Night can be installed at the same time.Check out the Tutorial here: http://environments.flight1.net/gepro/tutorial.htmShould get you started :-)
April 20, 200719 yr Dang, TGIF... My whole question involves REAL Environment Pro (not Ground Environment). Sorry.Same questions. Different answers?
April 20, 200719 yr No, same answers. All you are doing is replacing textures, not adding scenery.Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
April 20, 200719 yr I have had problems with GE Pro placing lakes where they are not in the real world. This problem might be specific to an area that I am familiar with; It might be a wider problem. I don't know.RH
April 21, 200719 yr Hi,Impossible, because GE PRO contains no data about lakes or lake locations. GEP only has ground, sky, and night textures. No water textures or water data at all.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
April 21, 200719 yr Yes, you are right. My apologies to all who might have read what I wrote!!! The program I am having problems with is Ultimate Terrain. It places lakes where they are not in real life.RH
